The Boy Likes Ribbons

[2018] – Papa worked on his first ever commercial collection. This capsule collection was greatly inspired by his love for the grosgrain ribbon. These ribbons exude an aura of delicateness, femininity and softness in a manner that other trimmings don’t. The collection also introduced signature Papa Oppong silhouettes as seen in the “Cocoon Coat” and also focussed on the versatility of neoprene textile. The Boy Likes Ribbons was presented in collaboration with Birkenstock (Ghana) and featured the skills and talents of artists such as JoJo Temeng and Valerie Lawson of CVL Beauty.
